Temporary hiatus

We are on a temporary hiatus due to technical difficulties.
Keith has been having internet problems and Sharon has been having computer problems. Figure it wouldn't be fair to just post my pictures and boost my ego because I won EVERY week. 
Please subscribe to posts or check back to see when we are up and running again.  Hoping to only be gone or a week or two!!!

This week we chose rain.  One of us must have gotten flooded and rained in as there is only two pictures to choose from this week. 
A lot harder to get a picture and keep your camera dry than we thought it would be.   Luckily we did not melt so we will be back again next week with more pictures.

I did get bitten by a zombie fire ant. My foot is starting to resemble what a zombie's foot would look like.

This was a tough one!  It was really hard to find rough water.  We all need to live somewhere more exotic with babbling brooks and rapids I guess.

Panning

This week we chose a technique called panning.

Panning means using a slow shutter speed and swinging the camera to follow the motion of a moving object.  Because the camera swings at the same speed as the moving object, the moving object appears sharp in the photo.  The background, however, is still so the swinging motion of the lens makes it appear blurry and shows motion.

This week was so much fun.  Its really not that hard to create these pictures and the results are so cool. Of course the big challenge is to not get run over while trying to perch on a highway overpass or side of the road.
