Panning means using a slow shutter speed and swinging the camera to
follow the motion of a moving object. Because the camera swings at the
same speed as the moving object, the moving object appears sharp in the
photo. The background, however, is still so the swinging motion of the
lens makes it appear blurry and shows motion.
This week was so much fun. Its really not that hard to create these pictures and the results are so cool. Of course the big challenge is to not get run over while trying to perch on a highway overpass or side of the road.
We would like to welcome back Keith from his sabbatical.
