Panning

This week we chose a technique called panning.

Panning means using a slow shutter speed and swinging the camera to follow the motion of a moving object.  Because the camera swings at the same speed as the moving object, the moving object appears sharp in the photo.  The background, however, is still so the swinging motion of the lens makes it appear blurry and shows motion.

  1. I picked number 3 because the truck was focused. The others were good but not focused, not showing what was intended clearly. Movement!

  2. OK. IN MY BOOK, NONE DESERVED A VOTE. I WILL CONTEMPLATE THIS LONGER AND SEE IF I CAN COME UP WITH ONE. IT'S KINDA LIKE ELECTIONS. SOMETIMES THERE IS NO ONE YOU WANT IN OFFICE, BUT IT'S "THE LESSOR OF TWO EVILS" RULE.
#1 COULD HAVE BEEN A CONTENDER, BUT ONLY UPPER PART OF HER BODY WAS IN FOCUS.
#2 NOTHING WAS IN GOOD FOCUS.
#3 PICTURE WAS INCREDIBLY BLAH, BUT THE SUBJECT WAS IN GOOD FOCUS.
    OK, TALKED MYSELF INTO #3.

  3. Number one was cool even though it was me in the pic.
Number two was okay the car wasn't in focus though.
Number three was just okay like number two but i just didn't like at all for some reason.
