Sharon chose this week and made it more challenging by choosing black and white. Its easy to get a pretty flower shot when in color. Flowers are so pretty and have such contrast. Hope you enjoy our attempts.
OK. GONNA OVERLOAD MY MOUTH WITH MY ASS.......ONE MORE TIME. I VOTED FOR #1 BECAUSE I THINK IT IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE BEAUTY OF A FLOWER, EVEN WITHOUT COLOUR. (SEE HOW I SPELLED THAT FOR YOU GUYS?) MOVING ON.....THE HIBISCUS WAS PERFECT AND THE OVERALL SHOT, THE SAME. GOOD JOB. WELL, ON TO #2. YOU CALL THAT A FLOWER? MAYBE AT SOME TIME, BUT NOT TODAY! LOOKS KINDA LIKE A DANDELION THAT JUST GOT BLOWN! I DON'T THINK IT QUALIFIES UNDER THE SUBJECT "BLACK AND WHITE FLOWER". IT GETS POINTS FOR COMPOSITION THOUGH. THIS LEAVES ME WITH #3. AGAIN.....YOU CALL THAT A FLOWER? DID YA'LL COLLABORATE ON #2 AND #3? THIS ONE REMINDS ME OF SO-CALLED PICTURES OF THE FINGERTIPS ON EXTRATERRESTRIALS. OK, POINTS FOR UNUSUAL. NOW THAT I HAVE PROPERLY OFFENDED TWO OF YOU.......YOU'RE WELCOME.
#1 is alright. .. I feel like a flower with more contrast on the petals would of been better. It's a nice flower but since it's only one color, when it's in black and while it just looks like a gray mass... meh.. #2 is the one I voted for. I liked the contrast and I think that the black and white actually enhanced the photo and made it better than it would be in color. Great picture. #3 to me looks like something you'd see under a microscope... it's alright... but I liked #2 more.
Great shots all of them. I was very tempted to vote for #1 as it always reminds me of a happy place on as I associate the flower with holidays, so to me personally the picture takes away the vibrant colour and beauty of the flower. #2 I like also, as it wasnt just the flower and the backgound gave the picture great depth and contrast. but #3 really captured my need to see and know what it looks like in it's true form and colour. Well done to all, tough decision.
